Childhood ADHD

The neurodevelopmental condition known as childhood ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) can impair a child’s capacity for impulse control, attention, and management of excessive behaviour. Children with ADHD may have issues staying still, being easily distracted, listening to instructions, organising themselves, and managing their time.

The existence of particular symptoms that develop over time and interfere with a child’s daily functioning is often used to diagnose ADHD. Although there is no known cure for ADHD, children can control their symptoms and improve their quality of life with the use of effective therapies, such as medication and behavioural therapy.
